Gojou Satoru and All His Awesomeness

GOJOU SATORU AND ALL HIS AWESOMENESS

A few months ago, a friend recommended the anime, "Jujutsu Kaisen". For a while I put it off, thinking it wouldn't be that interesting, but boy, was I wrong. I was hooked from the first episode. It had the perfect balance of comedy, action, and attractive 2D characters.
Jujutsu Kaisen basically follows the story of a student, Yuuji Itadori, who had no idea about sorcery and curses. At least not until he was forced to eat a cursed finger in the heat of a life or death situation.

oh, yummy. 😋

This event led up to his transfer to a special school of sorcery, Jujutsu Tech. This is where he became the student of the one and only, Gojou Satoru. *cue aggressive blushing and heart eyes*
Gojou Satoru is a special-grade sorcerer -- the highest level a sorcerer can be.

or as he likes to say, he's "the strongest"

Gojou's hair and eyes make him stand out. As you can see, he is blindfolded in the picture above. However, in Episode 7, he finally removes it, revealing his beautiful, beautiful, beautiful eyes. This makes him very memorable.

This 2D man, literally has the sky in his eyes.

he's so beautiful 😭💙

Aside from his physical features, Gojou Satoru really is a powerful sorcerer. He is deemed to be the strongest in the manga/anime. Guess he wasn't just all bark no bite, huh?
He has a technique called infinity. This basically makes it impossible for his opponents to hit him directly. (Watch the anime or read the manga for the actual explanation, it's a bit complicated.)
He also has other powerful techniques such as Limitless and Hollow Purple. He has more, but discussing his techniques is a whole other blog. That's how strong he is.
Despite his being the strongest, he is an absolute goofball. When things aren't serious, Gojou acts like a literal child. (see
https://youtu.be/P9eHQkbkNSY?t=30)This balances his character out, which is one of the reasons why I absolutely love him.

Gojou Satoru has his own ideologies. He likes doing things his own way in order to get good results. He doesn't agree with the mindset that the generation before him acts upon. He tends to clash with his superiors a lot because of their different views. This could be a red flag, but I find it really cool how he stands up for what he thinks is right. He fights for what he believes in and he doesn't back down. If that isn't attractive, then I don't know what is.
Now, this might seem silly, but his character inspires me. He inspires me to fight for what's right. He reminds me not to be afraid to question why things are the way they are. He makes me want to defend those who are abused by people with power and authority. He may be a work of fiction, but the traits he possesses are needed in the real world if we want actual change.
Personally, I want change. I need change. The world needs change. I want to fight for that. Maybe that's why I love Gojou Satoru so much. Maybe it's because of what he could represent in the real world. Maybe I love him because of how greatly he inspires. Maybe I love him because he's a goof.

Or... maybe I love him because he's insanely attractive.

It's definitely all of the above.

    1. As for my constructive criticism:

      – good use of charismatic narration
      – spoke facts only, no lies detected
      – UMM THE VISUALS?! thank you

      may want to check:
      – inconsistent usage of past and present tenses
      – slight grammar errors
      – lacking detail

      - I personally enjoyed it, though I think it would be more difficult for non JJK fans to relate to the post. General audience wise, the supporting evidence may not have been used to its full potential. I suggest adding more concrete examples as to why you came to certain conclusions.

      – Author was very honest and straight to the point with what she wanted, which I could appreciate. The post was not limited to formalities either, as she included her personality and humor to color her work.

  2. Sam!!! Your blog post is just *chef’s kiss*. As a fellow Jujutsu Kaisen watcher and reader, reading this was such a joy and I, too, agree with your statements regarding Gojou Satoru. I love your use of descriptions-- how you treat him as if he were poetry. Not only that, but I instantly feel the sense of excitement and admiration in this post, which I believe is very important because you’re writing about something you enjoy, and with that, you further allow your readers to experience or share the same feelings you have about this certain character. There are a few grammatical errors which could be improved on, but with a few fixes, it would be good to go. Despite this, I highly appreciate the photos, since it quickly catches the readers’ attention and gives them an idea of his amazing visuals. Overall, your post was entertaining and was such an enjoyable read! With this, I only hope that more people will continue to venture into this manga and anime to see the beauty, meaning, and lessons that one can learn from it. Great job on this, Sam!!!

  4. Without a doubt this post is very well written. Carefully molded like Jotaro Kujo's sixteen pack abs with just the right amount of spacing in between each sentence, like a perfect Dorito. Without a doubt this post flows like a good cookbook carefully construed to show the inner recipes of Gojou Satoru and the attraction of the author to the beautiful 2d chad broski laid beforehand in this post, like a ritual to remind everyone why he is where he is.The ending is simply beautiful and closes the post like a beautiful love letter from the author to the subject. This post without a doubt is very well written and flows like instant noodles on a rainy day with that signature rain smell to conclude everything.
