Why I Love Kim Sunwoo

          Have you ever fallen in love at first sight? Perhaps with a celebrity? Well, this certain person I am currently in love with is by the name of Kim Sunwoo, a member of a South Korean boy group called The Boyz who debuted on December 6, 2017 under Cre.ker Entertainment. He is someone who has brought so much joy and inspiration to me to the point where I wanted to love and support him to the fullest, and I wanted to be able to explain why I love him so much through this blog post. 

Although Sunwoo isn’t perfect, there are still many things to love about him.

1. Physical Appearance

          The first reason why I love him is because of his physical appearance. Obviously by love at first sight, you notice first what can be seen to the naked eye. When he and his members were performing on stage for an event, his well-proportioned facial features caught my attention when he appeared on screen during his solo part. My poor eyesight has been cured, my skin became clear, and my grades have risen. It was like seeing the most perfect human being I’ve ever seen in my entire life, and I had no choice but to stan.

     Seeing his face makes my heart feel warm and I’m afraid I will combust out of pure love and affection for this man. He literally looks good in every picture he takes of himself. Just like in Sunwoo's name, he is the sun that shines on us. He also played soccer when he was younger, which probably explains why his body looks fit and healthy. And god, the way he pulls off so many different styles and concepts so well… it frightens me because this isn’t his full potential yet. I’m so excited to see what look he’ll show us next for their future activities.

 

2. Talents and Skillfulness

          Now that I’ve finished discussing his physical appearance, we now move on to his talents and skillfulness. For starters, Kim Sunwoo’s positions in the group are main rapper, lead dancer, and vocalist.

           Sunwoo has a unique tone and diction when it comes to rapping, and I never get tired of listening to him do so. He has a special talent in rapping fast and I get so amazed hearing him perform without having his tongue twisted so often. It feels satisfying to listen to and it makes me focus on him performing.

< Singing >

          If him rapping makes me feel hyped, then him singing makes me feel calm. You’d be devastated the moment you hear him sing because you just never expect the main rapper to be that good at it too. When he sings, I’m surprised at how soft and comforting it sounds. He sings in the way he would to a lover and that’s what warms my heart.

          What makes it more romantic is when he brings out the guitar, a very deadly and endearing combination.

< Dancing >

          Other than that, singing and rapping isn’t the only thing he’s good at because he can also dance. The way he dances awes me. It’s like I’ve been tranced every single time, and I’m not really complaining. He deserves the lead dancer position! So true.

< Lyricist >

          His talent does not stop here. He’s also one of the members who help write and produce their songs. He’s written lyrics for their title tracks, b-sides, and his own and I’m so proud of him. I love that he’s able to express himself and his creativity through music and I’m so happy he’s able to do the things he loves. He’s worked so hard to achieve his dreams and his success makes up for it.

3. Personality

          And last but not the least, I love his personality. Sunwoo is literally so funny without him even trying. Yeah, that’s right. Entertainment is another thing he’s really talented at too. He just sits there and maybe says something or nothing at all and he’s already got the whole squad laughing. Even I immediately smile out of nowhere because of him. He’s very witty and knows how to play jokes on other people. One time he pretended to inhale a cracker stick on a livestream which was kinda gross but still funny, and the member with him was dying of laughter. He also gets scared easily at anything and screams a lot which is very funny to me but also concerning… Anyways I find this chaotic side of him hilarious and loveable because it makes me laugh and feel happy.

          As for his other side, this is one I think about every single day. It’s those moments when he gets all sweet and caring that I just want to cry and explode. He's always open to expressing his feelings and reassures us that he loves us a lot too.

        You do not understand I was literally close to breaking down because I was writing this while watching his livestream last monday. He was singing and playing english love songs to us and the atmosphere just felt calming and serene. After speaking with the fans through their comments, he starts poking his cheek asking for a kiss at the count of three. Say No More. But then he just goes off and faces the camera with a kissy face after counting? HELLO?!?! I am not okay. He then laughs at our reactions and calls us cute. IS HE SERIOUS?!

          And the way he hypes up his members when they’re performing alone makes me melt because it looks so genuine 🥺 🥺 🥺 . I’m so happy The Boyz and the Kpop industry have Sunwoo in their lives because he is literally God-sent. I am so lucky to live in the same world and timeline as him.

          There are several reasons why I love Sunwoo, one being his attractiveness, his skillfulness in what he does, and his personality. Of course there are many more reasons I could list down, but these are what I personally love most about him. In conclusion, I love Kim Sunwoo.
